Beginning in April 2023, you will no longer receive the Emergency Allotments, the second CalFresh benefit deposit on your EBT card each month. The CalFresh Emergency Allotments ended on February 28, 2023, and the last issuance was on March 26, 2023.
The Emergency Allotment was the “extra” money deposited on your EBT card at the end of each month. Beginning in April 2023, CalFresh recipients will only receive the regular benefit amount the household is eligible for. That amount will be in one single monthly deposit on your EBT card within the first 10 days of each month, as usual.
